Parade goers and protestors and LGBT groups lined the parade route on Fifth Avenue. This year GAYS were allowed to march…………but there were plenty of Christians and Catholics holding up their signs in protest.

A year after a limited easing of the parade’s prohibition on gay groups, organizers now have opened the lineup more broadly to include activists who protested the ban for years. Margo’s trolls …….wish you the “LUCK ‘O THE IRISH”
And I wish the same for all my dear friends in Ireland……….Charlene and Mark
For the first time in NEW YORK HISTORY………..gays…..lesbians……and transgenders were allowed to march in the Saint patrick’s Day Parade.
There were some hecklers along the parade route……….exercising their rights to free speech….. showing their prejudices and ignorance.
And for dinner……….I prepared the traditional corned beef and cabbage……..and served it with a “Beano”

GAYS were allowed to march in the NYC Saint Patrick’s Day Parade.……tho not all of them. LGBT was allowed a small contingent.
BUT………it is a start. Pity to think of all those closeted Irish gays marching along with all the straights.
GAY…….as in HAPPY Marchers
