LUNCH ON E. 32ND ST. at the Crooked Knife

Lunch at the Crooked Knife……on East 32nd st.  Cute place……dreadful food.  Not the waitress’s fault…..she didn’t cook it.  I will not show you the photos I took of the greasy fries and the rock hard hamburger.

The outdoor tables are under a scaffold.  Dark and depressing!  No one was sitting there.

Nice interior….very “pubby”.

Stopped in for tea and a Korean pastry at Tous Les Jours……strange taste,  skip it!

The walk across 32nd street is a hoot.  It is nicknamed “Little Korea”.  Sight and sounds and clamor.

The only bridge in Manhattan connecting two different buildings.

HUNGARIAN PASTRY SHOP

That’s the name……..HUNGARIAN PASTRY SHOP…….I’ve been going there for 35 years…… the place hasn’t changed all that much [ tho, I guess I have].

It’s kind of a funky place to sit………..and indulge in creme puffs and napoleons.

These cute guys pulled up for curb service…..and they got it.  STARBUCKS take note !

GOOGLE THEM…………Chinese Mover.

Columbia students love it here………..sitting for hours…….homework……or texting?

I had a “Russian coffee”……….espresso, hot chocolate and whipped cream.  Heaven!

I would  rate the cheese cake with 3 stars…….and of course I ate it all !

Ishler……Stephania…..Dobos……….

I don’t know who painted the murals……but I like them.

FAITHFULNESS…………

Great place to wait for a friend…………or get one.

Unconditional love………..

“I loved the “GOOSEFOOT”……….[ thats a cooked bittersweet chocolate with cherries ]…….and I saw here eat three of them.

Across the street……a wonderful view of the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine.

The worlds largest and coolest cathedral.  Takes hours and 3000 photos to get thru it.  More tomorrow on the cathedral.
