THE CONSERVATORY GARDEN in Central Park

The CONSERVATORY GARDEN in Central Park is at it’s most beautiful in Spring.  It is divided into three gardens……..Italian, French and English.  Two exquisite allées of pink and white crabapple trees.

A 12 foot fountain plays on the western lawn………tiered hedges lead up to the wisteria pergola .  The Burnett memorial fountain is a stature of two children by the sculptor Bessie Potter Vonnah.  The Three Dancing Maidens fountain is by Walter Schott.  The magnificent gate leading into the park is from the Vanderbilt mansion.

SPRING has arrived in Central Park

The thermometer hit 65 today………and New Yorkers  headed for their beloved park.  The “bubble Boy” was there.  A dozen weddings.  Musicians everywhere.  Cyclists………roller bladders.  Hansom cabs.  Sun worshipers.  The Gondolier singing on the lake.  Hikers, runners.  Cute dogs.  Adorable kids.

The young lady with the guitar is part of the PEACE INDUSTRY MUSIC GROUP.  Beautiful voices………appearing at the Bethesda Fountain on week-ends.

The CONSERVATORY GARDENS in Central Park

With temperatures of nearly 80 degrees……..time for a relaxing afternoon in the Conservatory Garden in Central Park.   One enters thru the Vanderbilt Gates..……..with a sweeping view of The Terrace.  The Magnolias were showing at their peak.  Kids were there drawing them.  Cute!
