Never boring……….sometimes terrifying…………very entertaining……and sometimes a fun way to meet strangers.

Fun in the sun SUNDAY in Central Park

Sundays in Central Park are always a delight……..New Yorkers and tourists……….all “doing their thing”…..or trying to “out do” one another.  Sunning……boating……..running……..bicycling…………reading……eating…………walking the dog………..and slumming.

IT IS ALL THE ENTERTAINMENT ONE COULD POSSIBLY ASK FOR.

Tonight on the great lawn is Movie Time!  HORROR!  THE SHINING.  Thousands will gather for a picnic………wine and fine dine for some.  Others will just bring buckets of popcorn.  It is a warm night…..the stars will be out…….and New Yorkers will get free entertainment.  How great is that!

“It’s Like a Heatwave” / 88 PIANOS Sing for Hope

Mr. “personality” himself……tinkling those ivories again at Lincoln Center.  Last Sunday all 88 PIANOS “Play for Hope“……….. were placed all around the fountain at Lincoln Center.

 It was an exhilarating New York event.

His performance had all of us rocking.

Swing it Mama!  And she was so cute.

His talent is mind boggling. His repertoire was fantastic………

He had everyone singing along with him.  Me too.

BABY…………..BABY……….BABY……….we were all yelling Baby.

Swing it mama!  And she did.  So cute.

I sang while I photographed.

We were all shouting……”play it again Sam”.

 

 

NYC SUBWAYS………fun…..fast and often WIERD !

The sights and sounds……….underground in the subways………always entertaining.  I am never bored.  My camera loves to catch New Yorkers “doing their thing”.  No captions necessary……the people tell their own story.

READY….AIM…..FIRE works by Macy’s 2012

This years fireworks extravaganza…….courtesy of Macy’s……..40,000 shells were exploded for a cost of  $5 million.  These photos were taken from my terrace.

Millions gathered along the Hudson River to celebrate Independence Day……….the fireworks explode in sync  with the music performed by entertainers……….broadcast live by NBC.
