A Light Dusting of SNOW

It was mostly WIND and RAIN…….and a dab of the white stuff.  Disappeared in a jiffy.

Overlooking the Dakota from my terrace.

MAJESTIC APARTMENTS on FIRE

I wasn’t at home when the flames were leaping out the window………but as I TURNED THE CORNER………. 14 fire engines and 4 ambulances were in front of my apartment building.

It was a duplex on the second and third floor……….completely burned out………and water damages from the fire hoses ruined several floors and the lobby.

No word yet on how the fire started………..but the fire department responds from many firehouses when there is a reported fire in a highrise building. The fire was directly across the street from the Dakota Apartments……where John Lennon was shot.

AUTUMN on my TERRACE

The trees in Central Park are in their full glory……..just in time for the NYC MARATHON.

The view from my terrace…………overlooking the Dakota apartments.

SNOW DAY in New York…was a BLIZZARD

We did NOT get the predicted 24″ of snow………..just a nice dusting……..as you can see in these watercolors. BUT….tomorrow it will be dirty nasty grey sludge.

SNOW STORM hits Manhattan 2017

For a few hours it was a blizzard……….then it calmed down. My terrace was nearly buried……..but oh so beautiful to look at.

PUMPKIN PATCH • Central Park • nyc 2015

The annual PUMPKIN PATCH FESTIVAL in Central Park is great fun for little kids.  The view from my terrace was “uber Autumnal”……..so I headed for the PUMPKIN PATCH

Thousands of pumpkins fill the patch and kids chose one to take home.

Ghosts and goblins…..scarecrows and zombies……….and the headless horseman galloped thru the park.
