Here are 69 of my fave street savvy looks from todays shoots.

CLICK ON your fave and it will enlarge.

Some of the costumes are perplexing.  Others GEEK CHIC!  Some are editorial wonders while others and very unconventional.  I rather liked the weird ones.  Bra tops, tawdry, luxurious…….lots of studs.  Some sinister……others very SEXY!  Sequins were all over the place.  ENJOY!

9 / 11 • TWELVE YEARS LATER

As a tribute to 9/11……..Lincoln Center Remembers with a public dance piece, THE TABLE OF SILENCE……….prayer for peace….. by the choreographer Jacqulyn Buglisi and the Italian artist Rosella Vasta.

The dance movements foreshadowed doom:  some falling, some with their heads in their hands……….

This morning I photographed the 12th anniversary Memorial Service taking place around the fountain at Lincoln Center.

P1170643

2000 dancers emerged from the edges of the Plaza…….and silently marched around the fountain.

The only accompaniment was kettle drums and flutes.

One by one the dances melted back into space.

When it was over……….dancers and the audience were in tears.  It was a very moving tribute.

NEW YORKERS CELEBRATE THE 4th of July

The Declaration of Independence……..John Hancock……The Statue of Liberty………The American Flag…….New Yorkers embrace them all.

BarB-Q.……..the beach……..Central Park……or a lobster lunch on my terrace with a bottle of King Ferry Winery’s “Gilded Lily“……..New Yorkers celebrate the 4th of July.  The darling “twins” splish and splash in the little pool on my terrace.

50 NEW YORKERS doing their thing

Why do NEW YORKERS live in New York?  Because it’s the only city where they “fit in”.  Wouldn’t dream of living anywhere else.  Some live on the streets……….some in “shoe boxes”………others in penthouses……….but they all love this town.

They are resilient.  Pros at jay walking.  Eat the best BAGELS.  They get to attend kick-ass events.  They don’t pull out a map.  They don’t panic when they see rats in the subway.   Are they smarter than other people………..no, they just know how to “act” that way.

ATTENTION GRABBERS on NYC Buses

TVO has become so popular……the ad world is suffering.  MAD MEN agencies have taken to the street to get your attention.  BUSES go everywhere in NYC.  You can even choose a bus route in the neighborhood you want to target.  The art on these buses is a visual treat………if not distracting when you are trying to cross the street.

Your AD has to run for a minimum of 4 weeks.  A side of the bus costs up to $4500 and you can order  200 ads.  $6500 to wrap the entire bus.  The same ad on TV can run into the millions per minute.  Bus ads are the way to go.

88 PIANOS Sing for Hope

88 spots to tickle your fancy………the SING FOR HOPE PIANOS are back.  It is a non-profit organization founded in 2006……..making art accessible to all New Yorkers.  The piano are scattered all around the 5 boroughs.

The DAIRY in the middle of Central Park has one of the pianos.

40 FACES that looked me in the face!

Well………maybe I looked them in the face.  I snapped about 100 this week but chose these for my blog.  More will follow.

Most of these were shot at the 25th street GARAGE flea market.  Others here and there on the streets of New York.
