ELIZABETH TAYLOR / ashamed of the IRISH!

Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor was born in London, England………to American parents .  At age seven the family moved to America when the clouds of war were brewing in Europe.  They settled in Los Angeles.  At age 10 Elizabeth made her second movie.  At MGM she appeared in LASSIE COME HOME.  A star was born……she was signed to a contract.

She was a beauty………..inside and out.  Her support of GAYS and those suffering with AIDS was legion.  She personally gave millions for AIDS research and raised millions more from her friends.  She would have been appalled that the IRISH would not allow GAYS to march in the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade in NY….and other cities as well.

DESIGN ON A DIME / Raising money to fight AIDS

HOUSING WORKS THRIFT STORE had a gala event last night at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea.  Lots of champagne…………with an entrance fee of $200………gotta pay for that champagne.  $100,000 was raised………..all going to fight AIDS.  It was a night of fab and glam!

And, of course, if you CLICK on one of my photos……..zoom!

The room settings were designed and donated by some of the leading Interior designers in New York City.  Everything was for sale.  By the end of the show on Sunday…..it hopes to raise $250,000.  All of it going to help victims of AIDS.

Housing……meds………and moral support.
