NYC a Winter Wonderland • Our First December Snow

The view from  my terrace……….foggy but showy……..our first snow.

A wet show..,…………….perfect for making a wet “snow person”.

SNOW DAY in New York…was a BLIZZARD

We did NOT get the predicted 24″ of snow………..just a nice dusting……..as you can see in these watercolors. BUT….tomorrow it will be dirty nasty grey sludge.

The Dakota Apartments at Central Park West and 72s street………….and the benches just inside the park.

SNOW STORM hits Manhattan 2017

For a few hours it was a blizzard……….then it calmed down. My terrace was nearly buried……..but oh so beautiful to look at.

OUR FIRST SNOW • nyc 2017

It wasn’t a heavy snowfall……….just a nice dusting of a few inches……….lightly coating the roof of the Dakota apartments.

NYC BLIZZARD 2016……..and a lonely Snow Lady

Sitting there in Central Park……all by herself………with a “PEACE SYMBOL” on her purse…….and holding and a  red rose

She is about all that is left of the 30 inches of snow.

NYC BLIZZARD of 2016 and New Yorkers have fun

We find all kinds of ways to amuse us………

P1590515

Walking the dog………….while looking very fashionable .

P1590516

Skating in the pond in front of the Hans Christian Anderson statue.

P1590517

Playing between the brownstones.

P1590518

Skiing over to the OYSTER BAR in Grand Central Station.

P1590519

A little blizzard can’t keep us from a concert in Carnegie Hall.

P1590520

And some of us just stay inside and sip our tea.

P1590521

A walk in Central Park by moonlight.

P1590522

A snowman is a must…………

P1590524

And a few ski through the air in Times square.

NYC BLIZZARD of 2016 • Central Park

The snowfall came fast and furious……….turned into a BLIZZARD……….and now New Yorkers are coping with 29″ of snow.

BUT

In Central Park we play! The canine population is loving it too.
