ABCV the new Vegetarian Restaurant at ABC Carpet

Jean-Georges new restaurant ABCV at ABC Carpet………..is a delightful addition to the NY restaurant scene.  The menu is so precise……..nothing is random………the ingredients of every dish on the menu, as well as the bar drinks,  are all gearged toward your health……..no gimmicks used here.

You will not experience the smells of roasting meats floating thru the air.

The room is so light…….so airy………a touch of color in the lime green chairs……nothing in the decor that will compete with the food on your plate.

An insert in the menu goes into detail of the health benefits of the various plants that will show up on your plate…………colorful…….beautiful………not overly fussy, just ingredients that go sublimely together……….layers of taste sensations that surprise your taste buds.

CLICK ON THE MUSHROOMS:  Huge…..and a dressing charged with yuzukosho.  You are also informed that vitamin B will help manage your emotional and physical stress [who knew this lowly fungus could do that].  The caramelized fennel is a surprising accompaniment.

The pavlova with berries and sorbet is adorned with snippets of “Johnny-jump-up” pansies.

Lunch at the RED ROOSTER

If you have a hankering for southern fried chicken and cornbread….head to Harlem and the RED ROOSTER.

If the chef/owner, Marcus Samuelson, is there he makes the rounds to see that you are happy and satisfied with your meal. …….which never disappoints.
