The Lion’s Mane Mushroom in Central Park

Hericium erinaceous……found it in the North wood in Central Park.  It lives on deadwood.  Good for the spleen, the stomach and is known to calm your mind.

Red Eared Slider Turtles in Central Park.

Don and I watched this red eared slider dig a hole…..lay her eggs, dropping 15 of them.  Then she filled the hole back in using her back claws.  Took her one hour to complete the job.

VERDI SQUARE PARK…………nyc

This photo was published in the NY TIMES yesterday.  Friends got permission from the city to REVIVE a weed patch.

ALEYA LEHMANN is the remarkable lady who revived this park,  It had become known as VERMIN SQUARE PARK……or RAT PARK.  Don and I were there to record the progress.
