An Atumnal drive took us up the Hudson River to the grave of Lee Strasberg
Lee was an Austrian born American actor, director of the Actors Studio.
He came to the theatre on the wings of a dream.
He was considered the “father of METHOD ACTING” in America.
He taught Anne Bancroft. Dustin Hoffman, Montgomery Cliff, James Dean, Jane Fonda, Marilyn Monroe, Paul Newman, Al Pacino, Geraldine Page, Eli Wallach and director Elia Kazan.
It was so peaceful and serene……..we were the only people there……..above ground..
We have a SUSTAINABILITY CENTER near our apartment……….so we dump our garbage in their bin………..
Which elephant ???
When you donate garbage they give you a brown bag of compost..…….
The plants on my terrace LOVE the compost.

JASPER FRANCIS CROPSEY was a painter of the “Hudson River School” style of painting. He devoted his life to painting mostly river views in oils and watercolor. He was a child prodigy and a very successful artist. Born in Staten Island in 1823. By age 21 he had already designed two churches and exhibited in the National Academy of design.
Cropsey believed that nature was the direct manifestation of God ……….so he painted the beauty and grandeur of god’s creation.

I hope I am adding beauty to the environment with all my flowers.
The birds love it up here………….the bees are a happy lot……….and the resident morning dove seems satisfies with his roosting spot. As for the ants…….
