CHUN WAI CHAN joins the NYC BALLET

And New Yorkers welcome him.  Tho…..with COVID it will be months before we can see him dance.

My friend Tomi diPaola dead at 85

Tomie wrote and illustrated over 240 children’s books.

OLIVER BUTTON is a SISSY…………was actually banned in some schools………

Tomi was gay………but had to stay in the closet………because book publishers would not print books from GAYS….as the schools would not buy books from GAYS.

Tomie and Tommy had similar childhood experiences.  Both of us were called SISSIES………Tomie wore TAP SHOES and TOMMY wore tutus.  We were both members of The SOCIETY of ILLUSTRATORS.

Tommie Mouse and Donnie Mouse

We are in our 5th week of STAY PUT…….in our apartment…….giving us time to catch up on over 100 books….that we wanted to read.

BIRTHDAY LUNCH at Suprema Provisions

This was my 8th and last BIRTHDAY LUNCH for January.

The burger at SUPREMA ………..[ on Bleecker street in the Village]

was voted the #1 HAMBURGER in New York.

And……it is!

Our waiter was as delightful as the burger!

Iberico belotta jambon jam, black garlic sauce, roasted baby tomatoes, very aged cheddar.  NO SUBSTITUTIONS or OMISSIONS allowed.  If you don’t like it……go somewhere else for a mediocre burger.

One burger was not enough…..I had to order TWO.

There are some unique provisions at a shop in the rear of the restaurant.

MY First Art Studio and Gallery

When I lived in Detroit……..I rented a space across from the Fisher Theater on Second Ave.  I used it for my art studio [in the evenings after work] and gallery as well.  Judy worked for me at Korvett’s as my fashion coordinator………and when I had shows……she was my “hostess”.
