HAMMOND’S FLYCATCHER seen in Central Park

THIS DARLING LITTLE BIRD……..lost his way and ended up in the Ramble.  It was the third sighting EVER in NY.  He was on his way to MEXICO……and most likely got caught up in high altitude winds and ended up here..  We were afraid it might not survive the snow………..but it was spotted again.

He is named after Wm. Alexander Hamilton…….a former surgeon general of the US Army.

The HOUSE SPARROW in Central Park

Central Park is home to 230 species of birds.  This cute little guy……a HOUSE SPARROW shared his breakfast with me……..or vice versa.

He is the male …….and actually quite aged…….a “survivor”……since most sparrows only have a life span of three years……….tho most face the many risks  of daily existence……..until the are killed.

I used the PRISMA APP to transform this little sparrow.

Living  high in the sky has its rewards.
