ACADEMY of FINE ART…… in Munich Germany

This is the AKADEMIE der BILDENDEN KUNSTE in Munich where I went to school…………..way back when!  Then I moved to Bremen……….and years later…….back to Munich………….where  I sold my painting in the Frau Schwartz Gallery.

The academy was founded in 1808…….and before that in 1770 by Maximillian 111 Joseph………..he decided to support a drawing school.

Max on his horse…………….

The rooms off this corridor offered classes in …..painting…….engraving and sculpture [which is what I studied].

AUTUMN in Orvieto…….ITALY

Instead of AUTUMN in New York………….how about AUTUMN in Orvieto Italy.

My friends at PARKER VILLAS will rent you this very spacious villa at the off-season price of $12,ooo a week.  Room for your family and a few friends.  Give them a call.  You will love it here.  Oh, a cook and butler is included……so you can spend more time in the pool………..or on the tennis court…………or just play pingpong

My friend Sally has spent some time here in Orvieto and she loves it.

BETHESDA FOUNTAIN in Central Park

The Bethesda Angel looks her best in the summer……….  her pool  is filled with water lillies.

In 1868, Emma Stibbens was given the commission to design the largest fountain in NYC..  She was the first woman in New York City to receive such a commission.

NORMAN MANSION is for Sale

It is in Grosse Pointe Farms Michigan………..just down the street from where my sister lives.  The Detroit river is just a few blocks away.  The is an enormous pool in the back of the house…………it is empty and ready to move in.

The price is astounding………just ONE MILLION.  The flight from Laguardia to Detroit is just an hour and twenty minutes……..a drive to the Hamptons is five hours.  So………it is a nice week-end get-a way.
