DANCE AND FASHION………a Century of Ballet Costumes

The FASHION INTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY here in Manhattan has a thrilling exhibit of fashion in the ballet world.

You can see Margo Fonteyn’s ballet slippers………or Rudolph Nureyev strutting his…..!

The male mannequins used in this exhibit were modeled after Yul Brenner…..and his mesmerizing facial features.

The Donald and Teddy and Erin were my companions.

Alexandre Benois for the Ballet Russes…………..Leon Bakst………..and my favorite designer PAUL POIRET [circa 1910].

Dance and Fashion are two great forms of art.  Designers like Christian Dior and Christian Louboutin have designed for the ballet.
