Frank Gehry is definately changing the skyline of New York……with a spectacular new rental building.
His new building on Spruce Street in lower Manhattan at 870 feet is now the tallest residential building in the western hemisphere.
There are several hundred different floor plans to choose from.
It’s placement in the midst of Wall Street’s ancient architecture is a striking contrast.
The undulating walls create bay windows allowing residents to “step out into space”.
The building is located near the Brooklyn Bridge,Tribeca, the South Street Seaport and Chinatown is just steps away.
There are over 1000 apartments to chose from with one bedrooms about $5000. A two bedroom [about 600 square feet] is around $6,300 per month. These are located midway in the building. Add $20 per floor as you go higher…..for the same apartment.
The mind boggles -I’d love to see what appts look like inside!
