OLEK, [Agata Oleksiak], born in Poland……..now living in New York City…….is having her second solo show at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery in Chelsea.
Last Saturday her art became a performance piece.
All of her art is crocheted………….her “paints” are all yarns. Layer upon layer covering sculptures and panels.
Doilies…..metallic ribbons…….wine bottles and skulls………et al!
Skeletons………..our future…………the end is near for some……farther out for others.
Being beautiful on the inside is what’s important. Ha Ha. NOT REALLY.
