ICFF…….the 2012 Intl. Contemporary Furniture Fair

This show is the one I look forward to all year long.  It is so exciting to see the latest in contemporary furniture and furnishings ……… 500 exhibitors from 34 countries.  So I headed on over to the Jacob Javits Center.…and became of the the 25,000 attendees.

Qis  Design immediately became my favorite.  This lamp is called the “Aurelia Light”.  It is amazing, mesmerizing and beautiful.

The BROOM CHAIR………..a new collaboration between Philippe Starck and Emeco.  The name?  Curious for sure!

Furniture by James De Wulf..………famous for his designs in concrete………and now ………foam!

Meet Annie………..the love and inspiration of Jame’s life.  I fell in love with her DOG!

Ergo Ergo.  Sit and squish.

MC.. Material Connection……..design……make…….innovate.  DyeCoo…….uses CO2 gas instead of water to dye fabric.  The aim is to lower the enviornmental impact of dyeing…..as 95% of the CO2 used is recycled.

Resol Group……..with a new collection of “must have” chairs.  I chose lime and green [as seen in my slideshow].

The company is called….TROVE’S.  And it is a ‘treasure trove’ of incredible wallpapers.  TROVE”S were chosen to transform an 80-foot scaffolding tower in the garden of the Natonial Design Museum, Cooper- Hewitt here in New York………and it is a very creative way to cover up a construction nightmare.

The 8th edition of the designboom mart at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair………is at the Jacob Javits Convention Center………presenting 35 Designers……….from all around the world.

I met two creative young men………Yongmin Cho and his partner, Chaemin Shin.

The designboom mart is a unique chance for emerging designers to show their products.

All of the products are for sale………I LOVED the memo pads.

So I bought a pair.

Back in my own studio………….the ” Lady in the Red Hat” insisted on wearing my new MEMO PAD.

And I get to wear the other Memo Pad !
