FRAMES OF YOUR LIFE…Giorgio Armani

I was having dinner on 14th street in the Meat Packing District at………

Dos Caminos Mexican………..good crock of guacamole. [ I like my Margaritas sans the Tequila.......just the Triple-sec and the lime juice.]

The corner started to get busy……..[yep, the Mac Store is  on the opposite corner].

They were all heading to the “pop-up Armani Shop”.

Take the quiz and register for a free pair of frames.

Choose your favorite style………

A bit too big………….she agreed.

Their photographer was snapping my photo as I was snapping his.

I had fun taking these….and I didn’t have to travel around the world to get them.

FASHION WEEK in NYC starts Today

MERCEDES-BENZ spends millions of $$$$$$$$$ to sponser this show. And it is FABULOUS.  Fashionistas from around the world show up at Lincoln Center to see the shows.  Buyers, the media, actresses and models……….everyone is here to see and be seen.  I love it all.

Behing this enormous wall are the TENTS where all the fashion Shows take place

TEEN VOGUE………...Navajo Motifs.

This trio asked me to take their pic…..so I did.  They are so adorable.

LILAC….was last years color, Dearie.

Does she……or doesn’t she…………

Don’t fall over, honey!

Two GUYS and a fountain……….

I like the whole package.

How does he stand like that!?

TEEN VOGUE is there at the Lincoln Center Library…..giving away “goodie bags” for teens.  I got two!

He is soooooooooooo adorable!  I wanted to stuff him into that red bag and take him with me.

A visitor from Deutschland……….where did he get those shades?

GETTING A READ ON READE STREET

West Broadway and Reade Street……….crossroads in TRIBECA.

This part of Manhattan was practically deserted a few years ago.  Now it is the highest priced real estate in NYC.

Lower Broadway

The view uptown.

Zuckers….offering coffee with a “pucker” at 25% off.

Clever screens to mask out all the road construction [destruction].

This new building is supposed to look like a ship.  Hmmmmm!

We stopped at MARC FORGOINE for lunch.  NOT!

CLOSED !

Open for Dinner…..Sunday Brunch……or Supper.

I get the swordfish……but what is Shabazi?

The bar area……a bit like sitting in a barn……or maybe a Forge, which is a  hearth with fire used for heating the iron.

The dining room is much more pleasant.

A quaint little park on the corner……….

THE JAMES BOGARDUS VIEWING GARDEN

I get the PAINT  PASTE  PAPER…….what’s the PUSH?

The view is UPTOWN

SAZON, neighborhood bar…..featured on Bobby Flay’s THROWDOWN.

You can “network” here on Tuesdays with Tribeca professionals in the game of LAW and FINANCE.

Pop in next door and get your seat recovered………as in “bicycle”.

An example of a cast-iron building…………lots of these in Tribeca.

Some charming buildings have escaped the wrecking ball.

Quaint little fire escapt garden….with French Doors………..a bit of Paris right here on Reade Street.
