Founded in 1804, the NY Historical Society houses an impressive collection of art and artifacts. Some of these treasure were created by the Louis Comfort Tiffany studios. His first lamps were created in 1895…………and continued for many years. The museum has an extensive collection of lamps and stained glass windows……worth millions……..and worth viewing.

I believe this collection of lamps was gathered by a man during a time when people no longer liked the great artistry of Louis Comfort Tiffany and were throwing or practically giving them away. Imagine that.

Next time can you do a retrospective of the NY-HS paperweight collection? Also pretty awesome.
