The Department of Homeless Services currently shelters about 6000 families…and about 7000 singles. Thousand more sleep on the street and in the subways.
HOLY TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH provides a door where this couple can sleep………here washing their clothes in the styrofoam cooler.
This is very sad and they made my heart hurt ….how truly blessed we are.
2012′s a NEW YEAR, new beginnings. hopefully if they arent happy with their current situations they will do what they can to change it and i hope every door is open to them when they do.
