Lunching at ABC KITCHEN

A passionate eating experience await you at 35 east 18 street.

You enter the restaurant thru a fabulous set of doors

As you enter you may even get a blessing from this heavenly creature…………she rests on the end of the bar.

A place for four………….at the window

Curve seating for coffee and dessert.

Another “cute” area to enjoy your lunch with friends.  Cast aside all pretentions……..this place is casual and low-key……….and fun.

The pastry chefs busily creating “over the top” delights……….just for you !

Gingersnap ice cream, red wine fig sorbet pumpkin cake with maple cream, and toasted oat buttermilk panna cotta.

The open kitchen allows a “peek” at the chefs.

Stoking the oven ! Fresh baked bread.

BREAD!  Crusty with a tender sponge.  Heavenly. God gave us gluten………eat!

The wooden basket is carved by hand by the Mapuche people of Patagonia.

Our table awaits us………..and we anticipate a great meal.

Justin…..our waiter…………was right there with my hot coffee…….a must.

Is he cute…….or what !

The aroma alone is nirvana!

Don had arctic char with a sweet/sour carrot sauce.

Barb devoured her grilled chicken sandwich with breille cheese, pears and green chillies.

I enjoyed a simple omelette with goat cheese and spinach.  I felt like POP-EYE!

Water was continually refreshed.

Me snapping pic of the water.

Only organic teas are served………….Don drank his usual GREEN!

Desserts!  What to choose…….how does one decide……I want them ALL !

Lemon meringue tart…..with a toasted marshmallow topping.

OH GAWD!  Caramel ice cream…….candied popcorn……….salted peanuts…..whipped cream and CHOCOLATE SAUCE.  To swoon!  And we did.

As we left the restaurant………….the bounty of the harvest………and the source of our lunch…..all locally grown and purchased at the Farmer’s Market just two blocks away.  That is FRESH!

Chef Dan Kruger…………..we shall return…….and SOON !
